Death follows short illness with pneumonia. Fumeral Sunday. Linden. Jan. 5 1928. Mrs. Carrie E. Kantz, 53 one of Linden's most prominent women, and wife of a widely known farmer and state highway man of this community died at her home a half mile north of Linden at nine o'clock Thursday night, a victim of phneumonia. Mrs. Kantz had been ill since Tuesday. She was born near West Point on August 11, 1874, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Mulhollen, and on December 22, 1897, she became the wife of Frank Kantz. Mrs. was a prominent member of the Linden Methodist Church and was a leader in the Ladies Aid and Friendly Circle Class. She was at all times an acitve worker in all community affairs. She is survived by her husband, Frank Kantz, one daughter, Mrs. Inis (Frank ) Snouwaert, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha (Clint) Peterson of Lafayette, Mrs. Amanda Rynearson of West Point, and Mrs. Jennie Wolford of West Point, and one brother Joseph H. Mulhollen of Oxford. A short funeral service will be held at the home at 1:30 o'clock on Sunday afternoon. The body will then be taken to the Methodist Church where services will be hled at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Mikel of Linden and Rev C.M. McClure of Rockville will be in charge. Burial will be made at West Point cmeetery January 8, 1928.59 | ||||||||||
