Twice she went west vainly seeking relief. Her maiden name was Ivy Eleanor Harness. She was born near Milford in 1854. She married Jarvis Reeves December 4, 1870. Eight children were born five of whom survive: Jesse Van Reeves, Missouri Valley, Iowa; Mrs. Nora M. Jenkins, Gottenburg, Neb.; William F. Reeves, ???; Forest and Charles Reeves of Milford.
